THE HOG’S BREATH SALOON IN KEY WEST, FLORIDA!

“Hog’s Breath is better than no breath at all!”

The World Famous Hog’s Breath Saloon in beautiful Key West, Florida is the kickoff location for the Never Quit Challenge on September 5th, 2013. This is where all the #NQC teams will gather with Trident Outdoor Adventure and a fun party will commence with staff, patrons and supporters. We will have a lot of military personnel coming to pay their respects as well as emergency responders. What better location in Key West than to kick it up at the Hog's Breath Salon!

The Hog’s Breath Saloon has been a popular “Key West Watering Hole” with locals and visitors for nearly 25 years. Have a cold drink or dine in an outdoor tropical setting or choose the comfort of our air conditioned inside dining and bar area.

The Hog’s Breath features daily live entertainment with the very best in local and national bands. Watch what’s happening live at the Hog’s Breath Saloon on one of our 3 web cams. A trip to the Hog’s Breath would not be complete without a world famous t-shirt available in our mercantile store.

If you can’t get here in person all of the Hog’s Breath merchandise is available at our online store. Conveniently located at the corner of Front and Duval Streets in the heart of Old Town Key West there is always something special going on at the Hog’s Breath. Be sure to make us your first and last stop while visiting Key West and remember….HOG’S BREATH IS BETTER THAN NO  BREATH AT ALL!

HISTORY:  The fishing and diving is good in Key West, but the night life fit right into the program. Since then it’s become the most popular locals bar on Duval Street. It is also a big hit with tourists looking to blend in with a Key West flair. The raw bar features local seafood, and the grill takes care of everyone else’s taste. No one leaves town without a Hog’s Breath T-shirt!

ABOUT CONNECTED WARRIOR FOUNDATION
A tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization, the Connected Warrior Foundation (CWF) was founded in Maryland in 2012. The charter of the Foundation is to fund programs and support activities that successfully empower wounded veterans, improving their quality of life by keeping them connected to their families, friends, community and the world.

It is the CWF’s intention to continue to support wounded vets by raising awareness and support through such means as technology (existing as well as innovative), events, blogs, resources and community outreach. With the generous contributions of individual donors and in partnership with Google, Inc. and Amazon.com, CWF delivers Android devices such as Kindle Fire and Nexus tablet computer reading and web devices to wounded veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, San Antonio Military Medical Center in TX and Freedom Station in San Diego, CA. The aim of the Foundation is connection—both human and technological—and the provision of much-needed support and resources.

Connected Warrior Foundation serves veterans—whether newly-injured or on the path to recovery over an extended period of time—who have suffered severe physical and/or emotional ‘invisible’ wounds (PTSD) received during the course of combat in Iraq or Afghanistan post 9/11 on behalf of the United States of America.

Programs:

Operation Google Gadgets

We are partnering with Google, Inc. to ensure that every single physically wounded combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan post 9/11 receives a Google Nexus tablet device for their use.

Operation Feeks’ Fires & 7s

Established in honor of Navy SEAL Special Warfare Operator Petty Officer 1st Class Patrick Feeks who was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 16, 2012, these programs provides Kindle Fires and Nexus 7 tablet computer reading and web devices to combat veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan post 9/11 with invisible wounds (PTSD).

Connected Warrior/CRAB Sailing Team:

In partnership with Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating, Inc. (CRAB) through CRAB’s new Wounded Warrior Sailing Squadron initiative, CWF is forming a sailing team of wounded veterans that will compete in several regattas and clinics in 2013. The CWF Sailing Team program engages our warriors to embrace the Corinthian spirit and build their confidence through sailing. Team members, all of whom have served honorably in combat in Afghanistan or Iraq post 9/11, suffer from a wide range of injuries, both physical and emotional. The intention of the program encourages vets to overcome any sense of limitation from their injuries and incites them to regain the sense of camaraderie they experienced during their military service. Sailing is a therapeutic outlet that connects participants with nature and allows them to harness its power to achieve a cohesive goal.
